In the year of 1949, Hans LIEBHERR invented the Tower crane and formed Hans LIEBHERR Maschinenfabrik Company in Kirchdorf, South Germany. He therefore laid the foundations of the success of LIEBHERR Group.
In post-war Germany, many parts of the country needed to be rebuilt, he had recognized the need for tools and machinery for the building industry and domestic construction. Since then LIEBHERR has become a multi-dimensional company with employee strength of 41,000 people. They are not only one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction machinery but they have technological advancement in many other industries.
